Skill Class: Mosaic Colourwork Quintet Shawlette - September - Monday Mornings

This two week class will focus on mosaic colour-work. Ambah O’Brien describes The Quintet Shawlette as a sweet little project; quick to knit and practical to wear, adding fun flair to your wardrobe. It is perfect for gift knitting too. Lots of simple garter stitch sections mixed with the mosaic sections, are perfect for learning mosaic knitting. Only one colour is worked per row, like stripes, and it’s much easier than it looks as you end up with an exciting pattern.

Class fee: $35
Supplies needed:

• approx 80m each of five colours fingering weight yarn such as Cascade 220 Superwash Fingering and Rowan Summerlite 4ply or 100m each of five colours DK weight yarn such as Estelle Double Knit, Berroco Ultra Wool DK or Estelle Highland Alpaca
• US 5/3.75mm (fingering) or US7/4.5mm (DK) needle
• A copy of the Quintet Shawlette pattern from designer Ambah O’Brien available for purchase on Ravelry or through the store.
