You love to knit but you’ve also been eyeing up all of those gorgeous, crocheted sweaters and the popular Jethro cardigan by Tanis Lavallee is the perfect combo of knitting and crochet.
This introductory class will cover the basic crochet stitches and techniques, including granny squares. You’ll also learn how to read charts, increase, decrease and change colours — plus a whole lot more!
We will put your new skills to work on the Jethro cardigan by Tanis Lavallee, which combines crocheted granny squares with knitted sleeves. Ok knitters - it’s time to get crocheting!!
Skill level: Beginner crochet, Intermediate knitter
Class fee: $105
Supplies: Scrap worsted weight yarn (please no novelty yarns such as eyelash or chenille).
- We recommend Sudz to get started and a 5 mm hook.
- We will talk about yarn for the sweater as we get further in the class.
- Later on you will need a copy of the Jethro pattern designed by Tanis Lavallee available for purchase on Ravelry
