Celebrate crocheted amigurumi this month by learning the Japanese art of creating small, stuffed creatures. 

WARNING! Crocheting amigurumi is addictive and will bring you hours of joy. And further happiness if you gift your creations to someone you love. 

In this class, learn all of the techniques and tricks to create amigurumi. Students need only be comfortable with chaining, slip stitch and single crochet. All other skills will be taught during this class. 

Students will complete one stuffed creature (or more if proving addictive). Let this class be your springboard into the crocheted amigurumi world.

Supplies needed:

Choose from the following free amigurumi patterns: 

• Dumpling Kitty by Sarah Sloyer
• Chubby Bunny by Lauren Espy
• Arctic Fox by Anni_gurumi
• Or the following Ricorumi booklets for sale: Puppies, Friends, Wild Wild Animals, Dress Me, Funny Fall, Cut Cuter Kawaii

You will also need:

• dk or worsted weight wool or cotton yarn, depending on your pattern choice such as Ricorumi DK (no chenille for this class, please), Estelle Double Knit, Berroco Ultra Wool Worsted, Berroco Vintage, Cascade 220 Heathers, Estelle Cotton DK and Cascade Anthem Worsted. 
• A 3.0 mm or 3.5 mm crochet hook
• stitch markers, scissors and some yarn to practise amigurumi techniques.
• Please note, one set of safety eyes and stuffing for one creature will be provided
