From fleece to finished yarn in less than 50 miles, Wool Local Aran is both authentically British. Starting at the British wool auction in Bradford, the blend of Bluefaced Leicester and Masham Sheep wool is then scoured, combed, spun, dyed, steamed and hanked in the county of Yorkshire.
In a thick aran weight, this is a truly British wool, with its roots in the heartland of British textile manufacturing.
Each 100g skein has 180m/196y of 100% wool with a gauge of 18 stitches in 4 inches on US 6-8/4-5mm knitting needles.
