Learn to use a spinning wheel! This two-part class is suitable for beginners, we’ll teach you parts of the spinning wheel, basic maintenance, how to choose wool (or other fibre) to make a simple yarn and then ply it.
Bring your own (functional) wheel or rent one of ours for classes and the week between classes.
This Intro to Handspinning class is for folks who’d like to learn to spin; it teaches the basics of how to use a spinning wheel to make your own yarn. It would not be considered suitable for an intermediate handspinner looking to hone specific technical skills.
Skill level: Beginner
Class fee: $150 including kit
2 week wheel rental fee: $105 payable directly to the instructor at your first class. Please let us know when you register if you will need a wheel for this class.
